the custom design process
When you work with us, we are here to guide you every step of the way.
Below is an overview of what the process will look like to create your beautiful stationery
3
1
step
consultation
It’s never too early to get started! Our process begins with an initial complimentary consultation, whether it's in person, over the phone or via email. This is the time for us to find out about what inspires you, your vision for your wedding day, and the overall vibe you want to create. We love to ask questions about your venue, the flowers, linens and the attire to help us envision the mood and style of your wedding day. It's important that your invitation reflects the style of your day and gives your guests a little peek at what to expect.
2
step
proposal
We will send you a pricing proposal based on our professional suggestions for your vision and budget along with optional enhancements for you to consider. Once you make your final selections we will sign a contract and a non-refundable deposit will be due. At this point we will also send you our invitation questionnaire. This will help us to gather all of your information and details in one place.
3
step
proofing
You can expect your first round of proofs approximately 8-14 working days after your deposit has been received unless otherwise specified. We will craft your first draft which may include various layouts, monograms, fonts, borders, etc. for you to select. You can mix/match between the various designs until we have created the perfect suite. This is also the time to make any changes to the verbiage, content, spelling, etc. We include 4 rounds of revisions in our custom design process.
4
step
production
Once your design is finalized we need your final address list and a written approval to print. We will then begin the production process. Yay! This process can vary depending on what type of printing methods and assembly are involved in your project. Typical production time is around 6 weeks. Rush options are available if needed.
5
step
mailing
When everything is complete we will arrange a time for you to come pick up your invitations. If you are not local, we will arrange shipping options or we can also offer a full service where we assemble, stuff, stamp and mail all of your invitations for you! Final payment will be due at pickup or before your invitations are shipped/mailed.

stationery timeline
A full custom invitation suite from start to finish, typically takes 2-3 months. We prefer to start the invitation process 6 months prior to your wedding to have plenty of time for printing and assembly. According to etiquette guidelines, your invitations should be mailed 8 weeks prior to your wedding and not any earlier.
